The Creative Brand Collective Workshop

The Creative Brand Collective Workshop is a one day workshop for small business owners, makers, creative entrepreneurs, influencers, and of course for anyone ready to make their dream a reality.  

The women leading this workshop are likeminded small businesses owners, just like YOU. They have created businesses that are thriving, and want that for you too. They know how hard it is to NOT have a community, to have support, to have a cheerleader that is there cheering you on for your successes, and when you fail, because we all do at some point, there to remind how incredible you are.  

The workshop is split up into seven main workshops: business building, branding, advertising/marketing, social media, photography, finance, and insurance. 

Here is just some of the amazingness that comes along with the day: 

- Light Breakfast
- Lunch hosted by the fantastic ladies from Batch in Saxonburg
- A workbook for you take home, created by all the instructors, filled with worksheets, and other business motivational and actionables that you can reference back to all the time.
- Flower wall built and created by Root + Bloom Flowers for insta perfect pictures
- Round table discussions built in throughout the day
- Access to a private facebook group where you can interact with other members of the class and an occasional drop in with Q&A's from our instructors, after the workshop is over.
- A fun box filled with goodies and treats from local shops and makers for you to take home and enjoy.

Meet Your Hosts and Instructors: 


Nicole Saville - Nicole is the founder of The Creative Brand Collective Workshops, owner of the lifestyle boutique Emma + Jane Shoppe, a mom of 2 girls, Giuliana and Natalia and married to her husband Dave. 

With a passion for community and helping other small businesses grow, Nicole founded The Creative Brand Collective Workshop to give creative entrepreneurs access to all the tools, resources, and motivation she could have used in her early years as a sales executive, business owner, lifestyle blogger, and event creator.  It was through these creative adventures that the idea for The Creative Brand Collective Workshop came to be. 

With a degree in Communications and Marketing, Nicole's background has been focused on advertising sales, marketing/branding, event and content creating for almost over 20 years. 

Nicole's passion for bringing everyone together in this intimate setting is hoping this gives the opportunity for all to succeed!  A chance to hear and learn from her about how she has built her business during a world pandemic, and the ability to bring other women together is something she can't wait to share. 


Brea Schmidt — Brea is named as one of 5 Must-Follow Pittsburgh Influencers in Pittsburgh Magazine’s July 2019 issue— is a writer, speaker and brand photographer/consultant who empowers mothers and business owners to own their stories and live their truth. 

Brea is a former sales and retention leadership executive, spending five years advancing her career in the professional sports industry in Cleveland before becoming an entrepreneur. In 2011, she started Photography by Brea, a children and family photography business that has since evolved into a brand photography/social media consulting company. She launched The Thinking Branch social media platform in 2016 after discovering her passion for wanting to connect women and help mothers feel less alone and has since built it into an engaged social media community of over 75,000 strong. In 2019, she was one of five nominees in the “Best Writer” category for the 2019 Iris Awards given at the annual Mom 2.0 Summit… a premier professional conference and gathering of influencers who create content online and on air in parenting, entertainment, food, politics, business, marketing, technology, social change, travel and design.  

In addition to being a guest virtual speaker to several business-minded groups on the topic of authentic storytelling on social media, she was recently the keynote speaker for the American Heart Association’s NE Ohio chapter’s Go Red for Women Event. In 2020, she was a keynote speaker at the "EmpowHERment - Women in Medicine" event -- speaking on the topic of self care at a meeting of 90 female physicians in Youngstown, OH.
Brea and her husband raise their three children (9, 7 and 5) in Pittsburgh, PA.

Melanie Mitro - Melanie is the Co-Founder of Chic Influencer, a mom of two boys, Landon and Bryce, and married to her husband Matt.  

Melanie started her business 10 years ago at her kitchen table while raising her boys and finding pockets of time to launch, grow and scale her online business.  She has built her social media following from zero to over 90K Instagram Followers, over 65k Facebook followers, has launched a podcast called Women Inspiring Women, and has been at the top of her industry for the past 7 years.  She has essentially created a multiple seven figure income from her google search bar and laptop computer in the comfort of her own home!

She found her passion for inspiring others to live their best life plus uncovered that she truly loves strategic marketing, teaching time management and developing leaders in business.  Melanie knows what it is like to be in the “messy middle” of building a business and that is exactly what she empowers women to work through so that each person can reach their fullest potential.  

Melanie truly believes that with consistent efforts repeated over time you can take your biggest dreams and turn those into a reality!  Her mission is to teach, uplift and inspire women to make CHIC HAPPEN! 

Katy Ursta- Katy is the co-founder of Chic Influencer, a mom of two boys, Nick and Dom, and married to her college sweetie, Mike.

Katy started her career as an influencer 9 years ago through the network marketing opportunity.  At the time, she was a full time teacher simply trying to get her groceries paid for.  Since 2012, she has created a seven figure business and has helped hundreds of other women start their own businesses. 

In 2014 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, leaning into her social media community, she was able to effectively share her battle, and her mission while raising over $70,000 for cancer research through a movement known as #everysweatmatters.

Through her personal experience, she found a passion for helping other women create captivating content and increase their sales through mission based media marketing.

When she’s not empowering other entrepreneurs to share their story, you will find her cheering her boys on at the hockey rink, checking out the newest releases on Netflix with her husband, or hanging with her besties over tacos and margaritas.

Katy is a firm believer that every story matters and an expert at marketing your bigger mission.


Wendy Lydon - Wendy’s background and expertise combines astute strategic, business and project/program management skills with over 20 years' experience in business, association management, consultancy and analysis that enables her to assist clients to generate revenue and profit growth.

She is a collaborative leader skilled in motivating clients and their staff to achieve aggressive goals and objectives. She has a global business operational perspective through exposure to diverse business protocols and markets. She led highly successful sales, recruitment and retention initiatives that grew new sales initiatives to as much as $350 million in top line growth. She is skilled in product and market development with solid background in customer relationship management (CRM), sales, marketing and customer service.

Wendy brings ThistleSea Business Development business and executive clients expertise in business, health care, medical group practices, group purchasing, association management, distribution, food service, franchise operations, medical waste and behavioral mental health.

Wendy holds a degree in business and information systems from Carlow University, Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, her expertise includes formal training in leadership, association management, supply chain, consultative sales, customer service, teamwork, telemarketing, strategic planning, human resources and healthcare legislation.

In addition to working with clients, she is highly involved developing the CNICUS Buying Group initiative and providing marketing services to ThistleSea Business Development clients.



Kristen Ricupero- Kristen is a financial coach & consultant who specializes in helping small business owners and entrepreneurs with both their business and personal financial life. She helps to strengthen money management skills, eliminate debt, create cash flow systems to maximize profit and educate owners and their families on personal finance matters to ultimately build wealth.  By developing specific action plans that are tailored to each client’s needs, values and goals, it allows them to live and retire in ways they only thought they could dream. Kristen believes that it’s nearly impossible for a business owner to completely separate their business and personal life, regardless of entity, and that both need to be running at optimum levels financially to create the ultimate life and financial freedom.


Kristen went to Penn State for HR&IM (Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management) and was a successful restaurant GM for corporate restaurants about 9 years out of college, until she found a wonderful family company who took her in and taught her everything she knows about small to medium family business. Growing up, her parents owned an insurance agency, her husband owns a local landscape company and they have a small portfolio of rental properties as well. To say her background is extensive and diverse in small-medium business is an understatement! She uses both her training and experience to help clients stop stressing over money.


She is fueled by her passion to help others succeed and become financially free and truly loves what she gets to do every single day. In her spare time, she is an avid runner and lifter who loves to say each half marathon is my last.  Kristen lives in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA with her husband, two children and furbaby.


Cristin Goss and Julie McMinn - The Solid Brand Session ladies are on a mission to bring more than just “pretty pictures” to the world of branding for female entrepreneurs and business owners. Their collaborative project, The Solid Brand Sessions (SBS), was created in 2018. Cristin and Julie set out to solve a big problem that they had both encountered over the years: People want pretty ‘branding’ photos, but they don’t know what to do with them. They get caught in a trap that focuses on the “look” only, with no strategy behind it. SBS focuses on helping women-owned businesses overcome this trap. We build and re-energize brands by creating visuals that hold true to a strategy that is led by the brand’s core values.



Nicole Zirnsak - Nicole is the owner of Insurance910  in Wexford. She is the mother to five boys, Jackson, Jude, Holland, Wilde and Wrenley. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Matthew.

Nicole opened Insurance910 November of 2017. She has been connected with insurance and helping
people since she interned in an agent’s office during college. Nicole has focused so much of her career
being a small business owner herself to being there from the start when someone is opening their
doors. At Insurance910, we get to know you and your business to understand what we’re protecting.
